Departure Options
You can choose between two starting points:


Option 1: Meet the group in Papua

This option works well for travellers who will already be in or near Papua before the trip begins. This trip departs from XXX. We will give you details on the location of the Shakti when we’re closer to departure. If you choose this option, the overall cost of the trip is AUD 18,000.


Option 2: Join the group in Jakarta

For most guests, it’s easier to start the journey at Hotel Tentrem, in Jakarta. This option ensures a smooth, coordinated beginning to the trip. Here’s why it’s often the best choice:

1. You’ll have time to take care of any last-minute preparations, such as buying gear, exchanging currency, or picking up travel essentials

2. You’ll meet your fellow travellers and get to know each other before we set off.

3. You’ll attend a pre-trip briefing where we go over the itinerary, safety information, cabin allocation and logistics.

4. We’ll fly together from Jakarta to Papua, which makes travel and boarding much easier.

5. Once everyone is aboard, the ship departs right away, so starting in Jakarta removes any risk of missing the voyage.

This Jakarta package includes: three nights at the 5-star Tentrem hotel in Jakarta, round-trip domestic flights Jakarta–Papua–Jakarta, and all ground transfers. The total price for this add-on is AUD 1,750. The overall cost of the trip if you choose this option is AUD 19,750.

Once I have your confirmation, I’ll send the safety-deposit invoice (amounting to AUD 2,000) to secure your booking.
